The "re-boot" period of MCA is now complete. From this time we move forward with over 70 members & we will continue to provide assistance & guidance for all coarse anglers - whether they be pleasure, specimen or competitive.
Fees cover PL insurance, CA VIC fees, website hosting, email communications & other incidental costs incurred as part of running the association.

Use of waters where working parties have cleared previously unfishable pegs and swims and built new ones

Information on where to source and purchase fishing tackle and bait in Australia and from overseas

NOTE: Membership of MCA does NOT include membership of the ACFAA. Members wishing to compete in AFCAA events need to register with them in addition to their MCA membership to be covered by their PL insurance during events ran by the AFCAA.
2026 Full Membership (until 30th June 2026)
- We only accept online payments either through credit/charge cards.
- Membership fees are paid annually and run from 1st July to 30th June (the club's financial year for CAV reporting).
- Part-year memberships are not available.
- Membership fees are non-refundable.
- Financial members will have access to all areas of the website (except administration).
- Members will have website access suspended if they do not pay the fees within 30 days of the start of the club's financial year.
- Members must not share their site credentials. Members found sharing their credentials will be suspended.
- All financial members are able to participate in all MCA organised activities.
MCA is a not-for-profit, community-led and community-driven club and is a fully incorporated association with Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) and holds public liability insurance for all club events.
Whilst the club needs to retain sufficient funds to operate, the committee intend to return unused funds to members via raffles, prizes and other non-competitive channels.
Membership fees are required to cover the following expenses:
- CAV fees ($2.50 per member)
- Consumables for administrative activities ($5 per member)
- Public liability insurance for all MCA organised events ($15 per member)
- Contribution towards necessary equipment & software required for the running of MCA events ($10 per member)
- Website hosting, email alerts and electronic funds transfer fees ($10 per member)
